Track Sales By Autoresponder Sequence
A question I get from time to time is this:
How can I track which autoresponder message converted into an affiliate sale?
This is a great question! Most Internet marketers understand the power of email followup. But do they really know which email in the autoresponder followup sequence is most effective in hitting the hot button of their prospects?
Keyword Radar can reveal this to you when you run a Keyword Radar Sales Report and select the “Autoresponder” report break.
But before you can run this type of report, there is one step that you need to do, and that is properly setting up the links in your email sequence.
You tell Keyword Radar what the autoresponder sequence is, by specifying the “ar” tracking parameter.
For example: Suppose you were coding the link in your 5th autoresponder sequence. Your link would look something like this:
http://www.yourdomain.com/landingpage.html?ar=5
The Keyword Radar script will automatically sense the “autoresponder” parameter of 5, and store it in the database.
If you direct this visitor to an affiliate product, and they end up buying the product, this sale will show up in the Keyword Radar Sales Report when you select the “Autoresponder” report break.
Now, suppose you have 6 email sequences, and after a month or so of running an affiliate campaign, the Keyword Radar Sales Report reveals the following:
Autoresponder #1: 2 Sales
Autoresponder #2: 4 Sales
Autoresponder #3: 3 Sales
Autoresponder #4: 8 Sales
Autoresponder #5: 4 Sales
Autoresponder #6: 2 Sales
(Note: This isn’t what the report actually looks like)
Now, this report is telling you that in sequence number 4, there was something in the content of the email that motivated the prospect to buy! Wouldn’t it make sense to move this up into the followup sequence, so that more prospects get to see the message before they unsubscribe?
This is just one powerful strategy you can do to help increase conversions in your affiliate marketing campaigns.
