Google Analytics Get’s Better… But Not For Affiliate Marketers

Recently Google Analytics released a new feature that allows advertisers that bid in their content network to see where their ads were appearing on the Google Content Network, and the ability to track conversions from these sites.

So, if you were selling iPods and bid on iPod keywords in the content network, you could track back to which site had the highest conversions.

Well, that’s great if you have access to the shopping cart page after the sale is completed, but most affiliate marketers don’t have this capability, in which case, this feature is completely useless for affiliate marketers.

That’s one of the reasons why I created Keyword Radar.

I wanted to give affiliate marketers the ability to track their affiliate sales back to the keyword AND the content network site that delivered the visitor who converted to a sale.

I call these content network sites “adsense sites”, because that’s how Google delivers content network ads… on these adsense sites.

So I created a special report that you can run in Keyword Radar.

Here’s a screen shot of what it looks like:

Report Adsense

See how the 2nd report break says “adsense site”

When you import your affiliate sales into Keyword Radar, this report will break down the sale by the keyword you bid on, and the adsense site that generated the sale.

You can also select other report breaks, such as campaign, adgroup, split-test version, autoresponder sequence number, etc…

All of these various reporting options give’s you a snapshot of your affiliate campaign, so that you can track exactly what methods are working, and which aren’t.
